Dr. Elaine S. Brown-Cameron, M.D. specializes in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Brown-Cameron earned her MBBS Degree from the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica. She has extensive experience in Primary Care in Jamaica where she held titles such as the Medical Officer, District Medical Officer, and Senior Medical Officer. In the United States, Dr. Brown-Cameron has furthered her expertise at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, the Adolescent Fellowship BUHMC and currently serves the patients at Astramed Physician P.C. to the best of her ability. She is heavily involved in the community with activities ranging from Health Education. Teen Counseling, and Prison Outreach Ministry. Also, she is married and is the proud mother of 3 step-kids and 1 adopted kid. Dr. Brown-Cameron enjoys gardening, reading and singing along with her passion for medicine.

Dr. Roya Jafari-Hassad is a Board certified family physician with a subspecialty in anti-aging medicine. She possesses broad knowledge and experience in Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Geriatric Care, Women's Health, and Dermatology. In 2009, Dr. Jafari-Hassad was selected as one of the top family physicians in the United States. She is currently working with Astramed Physician P.C. where she provides the finest quality and care to our patients.

Dr. Arnold Lentnek is a nationally recognized expert in the field of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Author of over 40 papers, Dr. Lentnek has been treating individuals with HIV and AIDS for 30 years. Additionally, he has been treating persons with Hepatitis C since effective treatments for this condition were developed over 15 years ago. He has conducted many research projects in these areas as well as in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infection. Dr. Lentnek recently relocated from Atlanta, GA and is based at our office at 913B East Tremont Avenue.

Dr. Chintaman D. Phatak, M.D. is an Internist practicing in the medical field for the last 30 years. He has worked in the E.R. in Queen's County and in the Medical Clinics of the Catholic Medical Center for the last 20 years. Also, Dr. Phatak has been in private practice for the last 25 years. His broad experience and knowledge makes our patients view him as a friend and doctor with tremendous value.

Dr. Tomasito G. Virey is known to his family and friends as "Tito" which in Spanish means "small" Tomas. However, he is definitely NOT "small" in any aspect of the word. Dr. Virey earned his M.D. degree from the College of Medicine at the University of the Philippines. For him, medicine has always been an exotic art and a science since he started doing family/general practice 20 years ago. He feels very fulfilled treating babies, children, adults, and the geriatric population. Despite his beloved wife's death, Dr. Virey claims that it is his love for God, medicine and our patients at Astramed that have always kept him well grounded.
